Do-It-Yourself Calculation
|
In just a few steps you should be able work out the cost for your granite countertops.
|
Note: |
|
1. Materials selection We categorized our granite materials into three convenient color groups, group 1, group 2 and group 3. The unit price for each group, i.e. price per square foot ($/SF), is listed in the table:
2. Square footage required Now based on the plan or layout that you have for your house, you can calculate total square footage required. The material component of the cost (MC) = total square footage x $/SF 3. Edge profile selection For simplicity, we also divide our edge profiles into three groups. The unit price for each group, i.e. price per linear foot ($/LF), is listed in the table:
3. Linear footage required Now based on the plan or layout that you have for your house, you should be able to calculate total linear footage required. Remember all exposed edges need to be finished, and therefore should be counted in your linear footage calculation. The labor component of the cost (LC) = total linear footage x $/LF The total FOB price of your granite countertops =
MC + LC 4. Shipping and handling We charge 3% of the total cost for packing Shipping cost varies depending on destination.
You can arrange a shipping company at your location to pick up the countertops from us, or we can arrange a company on your behalf. In either case we strongly recommend you to purchase additional insurance to cover potential damage during transportation. |
